Mixed Emotions

Long day at work. On the way back, you get cut off by an impatient driver.

But the traffic's real slow and he doesn't get too far. Soon you are driving right next to him.

"Free education" being your motto, you roll down your window and get ready to flex the middle finger.

That's when you notice the little blue "handicapped driver" sign hanging on his rear-view mirror.

Maybe the jerk uses his grandmother's tags to get primo parking. You should have forced him off the road.

szerelem: well, that's the bit I am not entirely sure about. Must I be "nicer" to someone just because he's "different"?

MT: or I should asked him: "Sir, if you really are handicapped, will you please force yourself off the road?"

People like that deserve no sympathy on the road.

The worst drivers are the folks with "baby on board" signs and some with the little blue sign.

The only times they need to be treated "nicer" would be while going down the stairs during an emergency, or holding the door when they are carrying heavy bags.

Blewgenes: have you seen the episode of The Office (the UK version) in which a girl in the wheelchair sits all by herself in the stairwell during the fire drill?

ph: The North-east and the Mid-Atlantic - Jewels of the Motoring World, aren't they? :)

Ha! The finger is actually quite rare here- I've never seen anyone do it, come to think of it...

Here, if you cut him off in return, that would be considered insulting enough :)
