Er...Hail To The Chief?

"BUT DUBYA IS THE BAD GUY! DO WE HAVE TO START ADMIRING HIM NOW?"

That sound we are hearing right now is the sound of a million, even gazillion, liberals scratching their heads at this piece of news. Suddenly, they no longer feel so sure about their likes and dislikes.

Past Indian governments have always been sympathetic to the Tibetan cause. So why do they not show some support for the pro-democracy movement in Burma?

And finally:

"Dear China,

Please go fuck yourself.

Yours lovingly".

I loved this comment by a Chinese official in Tibet: "If the Dalai Lama can receive such an award, there must be no justice or good people in the world."

One can draw some valid conclusions from that premise. Eg: the Dalai Lama did receive such an award. Therefore, as special cases of the consequent, there is no justice in Tibet, and there are no good people in the Chinese government.

As for our government and Burma -- I read a news article where our army chief openly supported the Burmese regime. (Can't find the link now.)

There's a theme-song for that policy. It goes "Money money money...moneeeeeeeey"
