The signature track is “Yesterday” (the last song Mr. McCartney recorded before his death in an early-morning car accident), but the best cut is “You’re Going To Lose That Girl,” a song that oozes with moral ambiguity. Is “You’re Going To Lose That Girl” an example of Mr. McCartney’s fresh-faced enlightenment (in that he threatens to punish some dude for being an unresponsive boyfriend), or an illustration of Mr. Lennon’s quiet misogyny (in that he views women as empty, non-specific possessions that can be pillaged from male rivals)?Funny, funny stuff.
Just in case you need any more convincing, some reviews that you may find helpful.
I've heard several tracks on mono. There are some *major* differences between the stereo and mono versions. Is that enough to justify spending almost 250 bucks? I think so. Then again, I am biased.

Feanor: Or Cliff Richard.
Space Bar: It's really a need
true true. i'm dropping hints everywhere. that kind of charges the word up a bit.
Nice. Everyone's cashing in on the "box set" idea. Lower that price, though, and just give me the the albums from Rubber Soul on, and I might bite.
I just picked up Phish's new album, which Rolling Stone calls their "best yet" - the box set has a whole extra album, DVD, etc.
Taking tentative steps into the blogosphere again.... been a while. :)
will be interesting to see how quickly it dislodges the stereo box set from amazon #1.
Also interesting how many beatles albums there are in the top 25.
BM: Just ridiculous, how this unheard-of Liverpool band is getting so much publicity!
Wildflower: I'm going the other way - give me everything *up to* Rubber Soul in Mono and I'm good :)
