Clarity Of Writing

"I think the point is that lucid writing is a byproduct of a process of careful thought. The more deeply you think about an issue, the more word choices start to matter, the clearer the purpose of each phrase and each sentence becomes, and the more the sentences themselves fall into a natural order. Clarity of thought produces clarity of writing."
Careful, Falstaff, or soon the Internet will be asking you for a writing manual.

Ah, but that's the plan. I mean, I could try to get a book out of what I usually write, but the last time I tried it I earned just enough to keep me in coffee for a month. A writing manual seems like a much better idea. I plan to call it Writing for Twits, thus speaking to the Twitter generation, while subtly referencing the Pythons.

Go for it.

But please make sure you discourage people from taking up poetry.

Km: More like "how I lost 200 friends and gained 10,000 followers on Twitter" :) But who needs friends when you can get Facebook friends and Twitter friends?

Which is why one has stopped writing. And to your relief, even poetry. Hmph.
