The 100 Best

Rolling Stone has published their list of 100 best albums of the decade.

Say what you will about Rolling Stone (I haven't read an issue since 1994) but this was a terrific decade for pop/rock music and I thought this list is a pretty good representation of the decade without a name. (And screw "Aughties".)

Now for the obligatory list-rant: Three U2 albums? And where's Nickelback? Ha ha, just kidding.

Would have been helpful to see the years listed alongside. One gets the sense that the ranking is loaded towards the earlier years. I am surprised to see that neither Delta Spirit's "Ode To Sunshine" nor Maxwell's "BlackSummer'snight" (which was released only this year) made it on there. But then, I had lowered expectations, after seeing "Kid A" top yet another list. C'mon, y'all, it's good, but is it *that* good?

WFS: Kid A is on so many rock critics' list, it's presence feels almost obligatory :)

I haven't heard either Delta Spirit or Maxwell's new album, so I will check those out. Thanks!
